I used to make resolutions in January. I mean who doesn’t like a fresh start? But inevitably I was left with mountains of guilt by February, when my well-meaning resolutions fizzled.
Shortly after my grace awakening God began guiding me in a different direction. At the start of 2013, He nestled a word of the year (“believe”) in my heart. Oh, I still made goals and plans, but now they were all framed by this invitation from Him. Almost as if He said, “If you look to Me first, I’ll show you how the rest of the year comes into focus.”
Instead of fizzling out in a couple months, He kept bringing this word to life for me the entire year! My work, family, personal life, and spiritual walk were all affected by this “guiding light.” As I looked back through my journal that December, I was astounded at the difference this had made. And I saw how letting Him direct my focus mattered so much for everyday life.
Since 2013, I’ve kept up the practice. I look forward to asking Him, “What are we up to together this year, Heavenly Father?” Every year it fills me with excitement! And hope. And a chance to grow in relationship with Him because I know He has a plan and a purpose for the whole year ahead.
I want to invite you into this space too.

A Funshop is kinda like a workshop, buuuuut . . .
you already work hard enough in real life!
So, Funshops are designed for renewal, some playfulness, & connection. They're intended to share truth and practical solutions from a Bible perspective so you can keep a fresh perspective on life.
Funshops also incorporate elements of experiential learning, which is the best path to life transformation. (i.e. Taking what we learn and actually using it in real life!)
And each event is focused on Jesus and bathed in prayer.
Turn the weekend into a mini retreat by adding a Friday night stay!
With the overnight option, you enjoy:
